Travel IQ Survey Shows Incentive Travel is in

Incentive travel is a great way to foster employee engagement in the workplace, but the benefits don’t stop there. The Incentive Travel IQ survey identified the top company benefits incentive travel can bring, and in 2012 and 2013, the top 5 contenders were:

1)    Recognize Performance

2)    Increase Sales

3)    Build Morale

4)    Improve Employee Loyalty

5)    Foster Teamwork

While these types of programs can produce powerful results for your company, it’s also important to ensure that you’re choosing the right destination for your employees. When choosing a destination, most people looked either to hotel websites or used word of mouth referrals to decide where to go. In the USA, this resulted in 45.6% of domestic incentive travel taking place in Florida, 34.1% in Hawaii and 32.3% in California. While at their final destination, 61.1% of respondents indicated that that the ability to golf was at least somewhat important in making their decision and 54.6% said that that having access to a spa was at least somewhat important to their decision-making.

If you’re looking to improve performance management and an incentive trip is in your company’s future, this whitepaper is definitely worth looking at, as well as the full results of the IQ survey.
